The exterior and interior lighting systems provider for automobiles, Hella predicts that there will be a sharp increase in the demand for LED recerse light for vehicles in North America.

The traditional tail light takes more time for drivers to complete reaction,while the LED tail light will take less time for complete illumination whereas LEDs achieve peak performance within milliseconds.This advantage helps motorists steer clear of rear-end collisions by providing more time to react. Studies provide further proof that 7 to 10 feet of braking distance can be achieved through LED lighting.

In addition,unlike traditional tail light, there is negligible risk when driving with LED tail light even in the condition when the lamp has been burnt out. The durability of the LED tail light lasts throughout the lifetime of a car, whereas the traditional bulbs can only use 800 to 1000 hours.

There are so many advantages for the LED tail light,therefore more and more car manufacturers start paying attention to the rear-end styling,they all clearly know that it will bring more benefits.

Steffen Pietzonka,the Vice President of marketing at Hella, states that the vehicle programs will be carried out in the year of 2013.The cars will include mid-size cars and other big size cars and they will provide car makers with LED light based applications.

Of course,the application of the LED car light will improve the comfort and safety of the passenger as well as improve the interior design of the vehicle.
