Two-times Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso has announced the Maserati GranCabrio, which has LED car bulbs in its tail lights, as his vehicle of choice.

The Spanish driver chose a dark shade for the exterior of his vehicle and two-tone upholstery of Pearl Beige and Bordeaux leather.

He chose Grigio Granito (granite grey) for the body and a soft top in the same Bordeaux shade as the leather interior.

The top of the GranCabrio folds up in just 20 seconds and it has six-speed ZF automatic transmission and a 4.7 litre V8 engine that delivers 440 HP.

It also boasts a continuous chrome trim encircling the cabin and integrating with the third stop car light of the vehicles rear.

Also at the back of the car, the triangular light clusters are formed by 96 LED car bulbs.

Earlier this month, Lexus announced that its full hybrid LS 600h limousine had gained a number of new features, including LED side car lights.
